About APREC Congress
consultant with NGO status to the Economic and Social Council of the
United Nations Organisation (ECOSOC), is partnering the Singapore
Institute of Surveyors & Valuers (SISV), a professional body for
the real estate and construction industry and SAEA Ltd, one of the
key industry bodies for estate agents and salespersons, to jointly
organise the Asia Pacific Real Estate
Congress (APREC) 2013 at Concorde Hotel, Orchard. The theme of the
Congress is Globalization of Asia Pacific Real Estate – Challenges
and Opportunities.
The Organizers of APREC 2013 takes cognizance of the fact that
this is an era when wealth transfers are rapidly moving into Asia
Pacific, particularly into real estate investments as globalization
brings together greater awareness of such opportunities across the
world. Despite the different regulatory and tax regimes, cross-territorial
real estate transactions are becoming the norm in Asia Pacific as
governments in the region encourage free trade and tourism. As such,
real estate professionals such as valuers, facility managers and
salespersons/negotiators play an interrelated, pertinent role in
assisting investors realize their investment potential and yield.
This Congress seeks to understand the challenges and opportunities
which prevail in the region for real estate professionals as a result
of globalization. It also aims to draw the industry experts’
knowledge in real estate practice and be the catalyst for professional
upgrading in building a robust, compliant as well as globalized
real estate industry.
